About Me
Hi there! I’m Stephanie, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and holistic wellness advocate with a deep passion for helping people feel safe, balanced, and at home in their bodies again.
I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Wichita State University in 2016, and since then, my work has evolved beyond traditional rehab into a more mind–body-centered approach to healing. I fell in love with John Barnes, PT Myofascial Release, Nervous System Regulation, and Vestibular Rehabilitation, blending evidence-based science with intuitive, whole-person care.
Experience Across the Lifespan
I have had the privilege of working with a diverse population from birth through older adulthood, supporting individuals at every stage of life. My clinical background is strongly rooted in neurological rehabilitation, including work with individuals experiencing:
- Spinal cord injury (SCI)
- Stroke
- Traumatic and acquired brain injury
- Balance and vestibular disorders
- Complex, chronic neurological conditions
- Low back Pain
- Headaches
- TMJ
This wide-ranging experience allows me to meet each person where they are — physically, emotionally, and neurologically — and tailor care that honors both their challenges and their potential.
My Philosophy
I believe that true healing happens when the nervous system feels regulated and the fascia is free to move. When these systems are supported, the body can shift out of survival mode and into restoration.
This shift can improve:
- Chronic pain and tension
- Sleep quality
- Mood and emotional regulation
- Dizziness and balance
- Chronic disease management
- Overall quality of life
Your body isn’t broken — it’s communicating. My role is to help you listen, understand, and respond with compassion.
What Makes My Approach Different
Rather than chasing symptoms, I focus on root causes. Each session is gentle, intentional, and deeply personalized. Using hands-on Myofascial Release, nervous system education, movement, and breathwork, I help clients reconnect with their bodies and build resilience from the inside out.
This work is especially supportive for people who:
- Feel stuck despite traditional therapy
- Live with chronic pain or neurological conditions
- Experience dizziness, imbalance, or nervous system overload
- Are seeking a holistic, integrative path to healing
A Little More About Me
I’m endlessly fascinated by the connection between the brain, body, fascia, and emotions. I believe healing can be both scientific and soulful — grounded in research while honoring intuition. My passion is empowering people with knowledge, curiosity, and hope, so healing feels accessible and sustainable.

Philosophy
At Unwind Physical Therapy, my philosophy is all about helping you achieve true relaxation and relief through myofascial release therapy. I believe that to feel your best, it’s essential to address the tension in your body’s connective tissues.
I focus on the fascia—the layers of connective tissue that surround your muscles and organs. By gently working to release this tension, I can help ease your pain, improve your flexibility, and restore your body’s natural balance.
I’m committed to providing a personalized therapy experience tailored to your unique needs. Your comfort and progress are my top priorities throughout your journey.
